01:48 pm: Unsophisticated female rock from Spain. Randi Joy

It's the passion and the lyrics that got me. It has the bitterness of Joplin.

I recommend the track "Not alive", it's my favorite

06:49 pm: Awesome band from the Czech Republic. Have no time now to go into details, but it does remind me of Nick Cave. I guess, I am European, and will always be European.

Enjoy. Read their bio.

11:44 am: I realized I dig 'the gothic'. Not as in a teenage overweight girl in striped stockings (not that there is anything wrong with that).

But as in "ethereal's allowed". As in "it's okay to be irrational, to be scared, or in love".

I am guessing, I would not realistically enjoy living in the Dark Ages. As a matter of fact, I don't think that my 'take on life' would do too well under the circumstances. And I am complaining about a starving musician's life. That's a piece of cake comparing to getting burnt!

What got me thinking about is was Serenna, a band from New Zeland. Especially the track called "Aphotic". Very Nick Cave'ish. Me likey.

01:10 am: Interestingly enough, I did include "long walks on the beach" in my interests, but the Live Journal deities let it slide. I guess, they thought I was not all that romantic.

Anyway, the first band I want to talk about is an unusual choice. They are called Bedtime for Robots.

Mind you, I generally don't like noise (shhhhhh!). These tunes, however, are strangely pacifying to me, like a lulliby. Which makes me wonder...

Here is a link to their site:
